Fix

Export any film, even when a shot has no clip

A film no longer stops exporting because one shot has no clip. That shot plays as a slow move over its storyboard, at the length you planned, so the cut still runs from the first shot to the last.

Only a shot with neither a clip nor a storyboard stops an export now.

Improved

A simpler studio: fewer buttons, one menu per job

The new-film screen now leads with the length: choose Auto and the Director sets it from your storyboard. Menus across the board, the shot editors and export are now one menu per job instead of a row of buttons, and notices no longer stack on top of each other.

Everything you could do before is still there. There is just less to read to find it.

Improved

Video clips and VFX edits now cost 5 cents a second

Clips made with MiniMax H3, and VFX edits of clips you already have, are now 5 cents a second instead of 15. Every plan's included video minutes were updated to the new price, so the same plan now buys more video.

The price shown on the plans page and on a shot before you generate is the price you are charged.

New

A storyboard PDF for the crew, and the Director's note

Download a printable storyboard PDF and hand the crew the same board you are looking at.

Every planned shot now shows the Director's note: the angle it chose and the reason for it, on the board and in the shot editor. If you change a shot's size, the note stops showing instead of describing an angle you replaced.

New

Let the AI Director make the whole film

“Make my whole film” hands a written, approved film to the AI Director and lets it work through stills, checks, clips, sound, inserts, the final cut and the export, one phase at a time. It reports each phase as it goes.

The run is saved between turns, so a long film carries on where it stopped instead of starting over. If a choice is yours to make, the Director asks you and waits for the answer.

Fix

Sharing a film now says who can publish it

One rule decides who can make a film public: the owner, a team owner or admin, and Studio staff. Editing a film is not permission to publish it, and the dialog now says so instead of failing silently.

When sharing fails, you get the reason beside the setting, and the film stays on the state it was in rather than guessing and flipping the other way.

Fix

Screenplay PDFs with emoji import, and errors show

A screenplay PDF that contains emoji now imports instead of failing, so a Word export with a clapperboard or a flame in it is no longer refused.

When an import does fail, the error appears beside the import button, where you are looking, and says what to do next instead of only “Server Error”.

Improved

The VFX tab is now Video Edit (VFX)

The shot editor's VFX tab is now called Video Edit (VFX), because that is what it does: change a clip you already have. The mode, the edits and the prices are unchanged. Only the label moved.

Fix

Comparison tables no longer come up blank on a phone

On a phone, the table on some comparison pages stayed invisible until you scrolled past it, and on the tallest pages it never appeared at all. Tall sections now reveal as soon as they start scrolling into view.

Fixed across the comparison pages, hubs and individual pages alike.
