Regenerating & Iterating Videos

Getting the perfect video clip often takes iteration. Here's how to refine your results.

When to Regenerate

Consider regenerating when:

  • Motion doesn't match your vision
  • Artifacts or glitches appear
  • Character movement is unnatural
  • Camera motion is too fast/slow

Regeneration Options

Same prompt, new result: Simply click "Generate Video" again. Veo 3 produces different results each time.

Modified prompt: Edit your motion prompt and regenerate:

  • Add more specific direction
  • Simplify complex movements
  • Adjust speed modifiers

Different duration: Try a shorter or longer clip:

  • Longer gives more time for movement
  • Shorter can hide minor issues

Iteration Strategy

  1. Start broad - Basic motion description
  2. Identify issues - What's not working?
  3. Refine prompt - Add specific corrections
  4. Regenerate - Try 2-3 variations
  5. Choose best - Previous versions are in History

Common Fixes

Problem: Motion is too subtle → Add "pronounced" or "obvious" movement

Problem: Motion is too chaotic → Add "gentle" or "subtle" modifiers

Problem: Subject distorts → Simplify motion, reduce duration

Problem: Camera shake → Specify "steady" or "smooth" camera

Version History

All generated videos are saved. Access History to:

  • Compare different versions
  • Revert to a previous video
  • Track what prompts worked best
