Generating AI Voiceovers

Add professional narration and dialogue with ElevenLabs AI voices.

Creating a Voiceover

1. Click "Generate Voiceover" in the timeline or sidebar
2. Select a voice from the available options
3. Enter your script text
4. Click "Generate"
5. The audio will appear in your voiceover track

Voiceover vs Dialogue

Voiceover (narration):

• Third-person narrative
• Describes action or provides context
• Usually one consistent voice

Dialogue:

• Character speech
• Use different voices for different characters
• Sync to on-screen action

Writing for Voice

Tips for natural-sounding AI speech:

• Write conversationally
• Use contractions ("don't" not "do not")
• Include natural pauses with commas
• Read it aloud to check flow

Script Example

Too formal:

"The individual proceeded to enter the establishment."

Natural:

"She walked into the shop, the bell chiming softly overhead."

Timing and Sync

After generating:

1. Drag the voiceover clip on the timeline
2. Position it to start at the right moment
3. Adjust frame durations if needed to match

Character Quota

Voice generation uses your voice character quota:

• Each character (including spaces) counts
• Check your usage in Settings > Subscription
• Longer text = more quota used
